About Ceramic Fibre Bulk
Ceramic Fibre Bulk is loose alumina-silicate ceramic fibre, as it comes from the fiberising process, before it is needled into blanket or formed into board. It is the most flexible form of ceramic fibre: it can be packed by hand into gaps that no blanket or board can reach.
It is used to pack expansion joints in brick and castable linings, to fill voids behind linings and around burner blocks and pipe penetrations, and as the raw material for vacuum-formed shapes and mouldable mixes. Its packed density is set by how tightly it is packed, so it is packed firmly and evenly.
Ceramic fibre is made in several temperature grades. The grade and pack size are confirmed on quotation.
Zenco Systems supplies ceramic fibre bulk from Nairobi across Kenya and East Africa, alongside blanket, board, paper and modules.

Selection & Installation Guidance
Installation
Pack firmly and evenly by hand or with a packing tool; do not leave loose pockets in an expansion joint.
Use bulk wherever the space is too small or irregular for blanket: expansion joints, gaps around penetrations, and voids behind repairs. For flat or wrapped insulation, blanket or board is quicker and gives a controlled density.
To request a quotation, send the operating temperature, the quantity and the delivery site.
Safety & Handling
Refractory ceramic fibre releases fine fibres when cut or handled. Wear gloves, long sleeves, eye protection and a P2 or P3 dust mask, cut with a knife rather than a power saw, and clean up by vacuum, not by brushing or compressed air.
Documentation
The manufacturer's technical datasheet and safety data sheet for the grade supplied are issued with every quotation, and name the certified values for this material.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is ceramic fibre bulk used for?
Packing expansion joints, filling voids and gaps around penetrations and burner blocks, and as raw material for vacuum-formed shapes and mouldables.
How is bulk fibre different from blanket?
Bulk is the loose fibre before it is needled into a blanket. It can fill any shape, but its density depends on how firmly it is packed.
What should I send to get a quotation?
The operating temperature, the quantity and the delivery site. Availability, packaging, transport and documentation are confirmed by the sales team before dispatch.
