About Rockwool Pipe Section
Rockwool Pipe Section is stone wool insulation formed into rigid cylinders, split lengthways so they open and close around a pipe. A pre-formed section gives an even thickness all round the pipe, installs far faster than wrapping blanket, and leaves a neat surface for cladding.
It is used on steam, condensate, hot water and process pipework, and on heat-tracing and plant services. Foil-faced sections add a vapour barrier for lines in the 60–150°C range where corrosion under insulation develops.
Sections are made to match pipe sizes in several thicknesses. Bore, thickness and facing are confirmed on quotation.
Zenco Systems supplies rockwool pipe sections from Nairobi across Kenya and East Africa, alongside rockwool blanket and board.

Selection & Installation Guidance
Installation
Open the section, fit around the pipe, close the split, secure with bands or wire, stagger joints on multi-layer work, and clad or tape foil-faced laps.
Rockwool sections are the economical choice for long runs of hot pipework. Where the insulation must carry load at supports, use calcium silicate sections there and rockwool elsewhere.
To request a quotation, send the pipe outside diameters, lengths, line temperature, facing and delivery site.
Safety & Handling
Rockwool can irritate skin, eyes and the throat. Wear gloves, long sleeves, eye protection and a dust mask when cutting and fitting. Keep dry.
Documentation
The manufacturer's technical datasheet and safety data sheet for the grade supplied are issued with every quotation, and name the certified values for this material.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why use pipe sections instead of rockwool blanket on pipes?
Sections give an even thickness all round the pipe, install much faster and leave a neat surface for cladding.
Do you supply foil-faced sections?
Yes, for lines where a vapour barrier is needed. Seal the laps with aluminium foil tape.
What should I send to get a quotation?
The pipe outside diameters, lengths, line temperature, facing and delivery site. Availability, packaging, transport and documentation are confirmed by the sales team before dispatch.
