About Calcium Silicate Pipe Section
Calcium Silicate Pipe Section is rigid calcium silicate insulation moulded as half-shells that close around a pipe. Flat blocks of the same material insulate vessels, ducts and equipment. Like calcium silicate board, it holds its shape under load, so it does not compress at pipe supports or under cladding the way soft insulation does.
It is the standard insulation for high-temperature steam lines, boiler and turbine pipework, and hot process piping in power plants, refineries and sugar factories. Sections are wired or banded in place, with joints staggered, and finished with metal cladding.
Sections are made to match pipe sizes in several thicknesses. Bore, thickness and grade are confirmed on quotation.
Zenco Systems supplies calcium silicate pipe sections and blocks from Nairobi across Kenya and East Africa, alongside calcium silicate board.

Selection & Installation Guidance
Installation
Fit half-sections around the pipe with joints staggered, secure with stainless wire or bands, and finish with metal cladding.
Choose calcium silicate where the insulation must carry load or resist damage — supports, high-pressure steam, foot traffic. On long low-load runs, rockwool pipe sections cost less.
To request a quotation, send the pipe outside diameters, lengths, line temperature and delivery site.
Safety & Handling
Cutting produces dust. Wear a dust mask, gloves and eye protection, and keep sections dry before installation.
Documentation
The manufacturer's technical datasheet and safety data sheet for the grade supplied are issued with every quotation, and name the certified values for this material.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why use calcium silicate instead of rockwool on pipes?
Calcium silicate is rigid and load-bearing, so it does not crush at supports or under cladding. Rockwool is cheaper on long runs where there is no load.
Do you supply flat blocks as well as pipe sections?
Yes, for vessels, ducts and equipment. State the block size and thickness when you enquire.
What should I send to get a quotation?
The pipe outside diameters, lengths, line temperature and delivery site. Availability, packaging, transport and documentation are confirmed by the sales team before dispatch.
