About Armaflex Pipe Insulation Tube
Armaflex Pipe Insulation Tube is flexible closed-cell elastomeric foam, made as a tube that fits over a pipe. Its closed cells resist water vapour, so on cold lines it stops condensation forming on the pipe surface — the main job of insulation on chilled water, refrigerant and air-conditioning pipework.
Tubes are slid onto new pipework before it is connected, or slit lengthways and fitted over existing lines, with the seams and butt joints sealed with the matching contact adhesive. Fittings, bends and valves are insulated with tube cut to shape or with elastomeric sheet, listed separately.
Tubes are made to match standard copper and steel pipe sizes in several wall thicknesses. Bore and wall thickness are confirmed on quotation; send the pipe sizes and lengths.
Zenco Systems supplies elastomeric pipe insulation from Nairobi across Kenya and East Africa, together with elastomeric sheet and foam tape.

Selection & Installation Guidance
Installation
Slide on before connection or slit and fit over existing pipe; seal all seams and butt joints with the matching contact adhesive so the vapour barrier is continuous.
On cold lines the thickness is chosen to keep the outer surface above the dew point, so it depends on the line temperature and the humidity where the pipe runs. Elastomeric foam is a low-temperature product; for hot lines above its range, specify rockwool or calcium silicate pipe sections.
To request a quotation, send the pipe outside diameters, the lengths, the line temperature and the delivery site.
Safety & Handling
Use contact adhesive in a ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Store tubes flat, dry and out of direct sunlight.
Documentation
The manufacturer's technical datasheet and safety data sheet for the grade supplied are issued with every quotation, and name the certified values for this material.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Armaflex insulation made of?
Flexible closed-cell elastomeric (synthetic rubber) foam. The closed cells resist water vapour, which is why it is used on cold pipework.
What thickness do I need?
Enough to keep the outer surface above the dew point. It depends on the line temperature and the humidity where the pipe runs; send both and the sales team will recommend a wall thickness.
Can it be fitted to existing pipes?
Yes. Slit the tube lengthways, fit it over the pipe and seal the seam with contact adhesive.
What should I send to get a quotation?
The pipe outside diameters, lengths, line temperature and delivery site. Availability, packaging, transport and documentation are confirmed by the sales team before dispatch.
